Israel to test self-driving public bus systems in two-year national pilot
The Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) said Sunday that four consortiums were selected to carry out the trial across the country, starting with the first phase of operating and testing in secured, closed sites and then progressing to autonomous bus lines on public roads, at an increasing range over the two-year period.
The four groups in the public transportation pilots are the two major Israeli bus operators, Egged (with the largest intercity routes) and Dan (only in the Gush Dan area); and a pair of smaller operators, Metropoline (which provides bus routes in southern Israel, to and from Tel Aviv and Beersheba, and in and between cities in the Sharon region) and the Nazareth-based Nateev Express, which operates routes across the Upper Galilee in the north.
These four transport companies will partner with their respective groups of startups and organizations based in Israel, France, Turkey, Norway, and the US.
The project will allow authorities to map the infrastructure required to operate an autonomous public transport system and test the business aspects of such an undertaking, the IIA said. Groups that successfully implement and complete the two-year pilot will be offered contracts to expand their services in Israel.

In the ranking for undergraduate programs, Tel Aviv University came in at 7th place, ; the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology dropped to 15th place, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem held its spot at No. 31 for the second consecutive year; Reichman University was a newcomer to this list, ranking in 38th place, and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev dropped to the 45th spot.

Quantum ESG Workshop
This month, we had a designated ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) workshop together with our partners from Hyundai CRADLE as part of our preparation for the 5th SPARK program.
The workshop was delivered by Hagit Genish Gill, Head of ESG at BAZAN Group Oil Refineries.
Businesses have impacts across a range of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria which can either positively or negatively affect other people. This is why having strong ESG performance can create value across a company’s operations.
ESG value creation is not a direct transactional process like making a sale, but it does bring lasting and even measurable benefits to businesses. This is why more and more companies are measuring, reporting, and improving their ESG criteria actions.
ESG criteria have become the secret sauce investors turn to for creating a sustainable investment portfolio.
On this upcoming SPARK program, we will focus on making sure cross the startups selected are up to speed with ESG criteria

Quantum Hub PoC Use Case
The Situation
Today accidents cause a great deal of downtime at factories and logistics centers.
Over 30% of accidents caused by Human-Vehicle interaction.
What we did
Maman logistic terminal was chosen for a PoC.
The project was divide for four parts:
1. Installing ArmourBox on site, running. machine vision models on
data streams.
2.Installing live video streams interface,
displaying. heatmaps, risk levels, and accident probabilities
3.Installing sirens in pilot area. Signaling a high risk of collision by activating sirens.
Management dashboard: driving routs, speed, risk levels and near misses.
4.Installing sirens on forklifts.
Providing real time risk alerts to drivers.
Expected Results
The system should be with an accuracy of 90% regarding sirens in pilot area. Signalling a high risk of collision and with 95% accuracy of signalling forklifts drivers from collision.
